WBLD MEETING AGENDA
September 2, 2003
1. RADIOATHON NEWS:
--Tentatively scheduled: NOVEMBER 7TH starting at 4pm until 6pm Saturday (26 hrs.)
--Any shift disputes will be handled according to seniority. Not everyone can have an overnight shift and ONLY the people who are scheduled to be on are to be at the radio station. No friends, relatives, groupies.
--We need YOU to bug your teachers to supervise. Most importantly, we need supervisors 4-10pm (3) and 8am-4pm (7). (THEY MUST BE WBSD employees)
--I will be supervising from 10pm-6am and 4pm-6pm Saturday.
--Like last year, this only flies if we have Supervisors.
--Raising money for: OUR CHILDRENíS FUND.
--We need prizes from local businesses to give away, special guests and your participation in promoting the event.
2. STATION BUSINESS:
--Fill out a returning/preliminary application if you havenít already and sign up for a shift if you havenít done that either.
--We will be on the air "live" until 5pm every day until further notice. If there arenít enough people to fill after school shifts (because of no late bus or whatever reason), we will only have one after school shift per day.
--This year I am instituting a "No tolerance" policy for missing shifts. If you miss 2 shifts, FOR ANY reason, you are off the air for the rest of the semester.
--No food or drinkóESPECIALLY CAFETERIA FOOD--is allowed in the radio station at any time. They are really getting strict and will give you an ISS if you are caught bringing food here. I will ask you to leave if I find that you are bringing food here.
--YOU MUST HAVE A PROMO FOR YOUR SHOW BY FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH. IF YOU DONíT HAVE ONE COMPLETED, YOU ARE OFF THE AIR UNTIL YOU FINISH ONE. SEE EITHER BB OR MYSELF TO PRODUCE ONE.
--If you stop by the station and you see that there is no one scheduled or on the air, you MUST get my permission if you want to fill in.
--I would prefer you leave your friends at home. No more than 3 people at once in the studio. Under NO circumstances is the production room to be used as a LIVE studio. In or out. I donít want a lot of traffic
I have recently revised the Operator Guidelines and I would like to discuss a few aspects of the Guidelines.
